A huge well done to all the children who took part in the Thurrock Performance Poetry competition heats on Thursday 14th March, after school, competing with other schools across the borough.  All the children have been very committed; they have attended regular rehearsals, giving up many lunch times in preparation for the event.  We are incredibly proud of everyone who participated; they were a credit to Warren Primary School.  Thank you to parents/carers for assisting with the learning of lines at home and for your support on the night.  It has been delightful to see their confidence blossom as the heats approached; it took a huge amount of courage to perform in front of so many children and adults.  The children showed great determination, perseverance, and teamwork skills and we were the only school to include signing (BSL) in some of the performances.  Children from Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 participated and we are delighted to announce that we won our heat in 2 categories: the Yr5/6 small group and the Yr5/6 large group.  Those groups will now be performing in the final on the 21st of March at Gateway Academy.  All of the children should be proud of their performances and have achieved in the confidence they have gained, as well as resilience and courage.
