Nursery

Last week the Nursery children enjoyed taking part in 'Children in Need'.  They dressed in bright clothes and took part in a variety of activities throughout the day.  The most popular activity was decorating a biscuit.  The children were invited to select a picture card from a pile, count the number of sweets shown in the photograph and then decorate their own biscuit with the same number of sweets. They demonstrated great counting skills and I was told that the biscuits were very tasty!

The Nursery children have really enjoyed learning how to keep safe on Bonfire Night. They created the most amazing 'Fireworks' display in the classroom as they explored marble rolling in the art area, finger painting on the Smartboard and making sparklers from natural materials at Forest School.

The Nursery children have been really busy this week developing their knowledge of how to hold scissors comfortably and use them safely. They were keen to explore these tools and managed to cut snips in paper independently.

The Nursery children have been enjoying their first Forest School experiences. They really enjoyed getting physical in this gorgeous outdoor space.
