🛴 Year 1 Pupils Roll Into Scooter Safety With Thurrock Council 🛴
Despite the rainy weather, Year 1 pupils didn’t let the rain dampen their wheels! On Wednesday 21st, those who had signed up took part in a fun and informative Scooter Safety Training session delivered by Thurrock Council — held indoors in the school hall due to the wet conditions outside.
The session focused on key safety skills, including how to stop safely, navigate around obstacles, and be aware of others while scooting. Children practiced balance, control, and learned the importance of being visible.
Although the playground was off-limits, the hall was buzzing with energy and excitement as pupils zipped around cones and took part in interactive activities.
To top it all off, every child who participated received a comic to take home — packed with scooter safety tips and fun illustrations to reinforce what they learned.
A huge thank you to Thurrock Council for delivering such a valuable session and helping our young riders stay safe while having fun.
