Year 6 Bikeability

Year 6 pupils have started their Bikeability training this week with the Thurrock Council cycling proficiency trainers

Pupils arrived with a good level of confidence in riding their bikes and were eager to take part in the session. Today's training took place on the playground and focused on essential road safety skills, including the importance of looking carefully left and right before moving off and developing awareness of traffic in preparation for cycling on busier roads. The children were exceptionally sensible throughout the session, listening carefully to instructions, following all safety rules, and demonstrating a mature attitude towards keeping themselves and others safe. We are very proud of the way they represented the school and look forward to seeing them continue to develop their cycling skills over the coming weeks.
