Support Staff Step Up for Cancer Research UK with 10K Shine Night Walk
On Saturday 20th September, a team of our incredible support team swapped their usual weekend plans for something truly special — completing the 10K Shine Night Walk through the streets of London to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Starting after dark, the team joined thousands of walkers lighting up the capital with glow sticks, neon colours and determination. Together, they covered the six-mile route, passing some of London’s most iconic landmarks including Buckingham Palace, all while cheering each other on every step of the way.

The challenge was more than just a walk — it was a heartfelt tribute. Each member of the team was inspired by their own personal connection to cancer, whether walking in memory of loved ones or in support of friends and colleagues currently affected by the disease.
Thanks to the generosity of colleagues, friends, and family, the team raised £1,000 for the charity. Every pound raised goes directly to life-saving research, helping to improve cancer treatments and bring hope to millions of families.
The Shine Night Walk is one of Cancer Research UK’s most inspiring events, uniting people of all ages and backgrounds. For our team, it was a night to remember — full of laughter, shared memories, sore feet, and above all, hope for a future where cancer no longer takes the people we love.
