Harvest Food Collection

We are collecting food with Thurrock Food Bank

As we move into Autumn, we know that many individuals, faiths and cultures will be marking Harvest as a time to reflect on gratitude, generosity, and community. Warren will once again be marking "Harvest Time" by supporting Thurrock Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust, by asking for donations of essential food and other items.
As you may be aware, Thurrock Foodbank provides emergency food parcels and support to families facing difficult times, including some within our own school and the wider community. Their work is vital in trying to ensure that no-one goes hungry, and we are pleased to support them again.
We will be talking to the children in assembly about the work of the Foodbank and the importance of helping others in need.
If you are able to donate anything at all, the Foodbank is currently in need of the following items: (They have enough baked beans and pasta)
LONG LIFE MILK, SQUASH, FRUIT JUICE, BISCUITS, SAVOURY SNACKS, RICE, CEREALS, PORRIDGE OATS
NOODLES, RICE, PACKET MASH, PASTA SAUCE, TINNED SOUP, FISH, SPAGHETTI, MEAT, TOMATOES.
If you would like to make a donation to our Harvest Food Bank Collection , donations can be brought into school and handed to your child’s class teacher or dropped off at the school office.
Please ensure that all items are in date. Every item, no matter how small, helps to support a family in need.
We will be collecting items from Monday 6th October until Friday 17th October.
Thank you in anticipation of any support.
