Thurrock Performance Poetry 2026
A huge well done to all the children who took part in the Thurrock Performance Poetry competition heats on Thursday 12th March, after school, competing with other schools across the borough. We are incredibly proud of everyone who participated; they were a real credit to Warren Primary School.
Thank you to parents/carers for assisting with the learning of lines at home and for your support on the night. It has been delightful to see their confidence blossom as the heats approached; it took a huge amount of courage to perform in front of so many children and adults. The children showed great determination, perseverance and teamwork skills and we were the only school to include signing (BSL) in some of the performances.
Our Y4 Individual entry and Y6 Small Group successfully made it to the final on Thursday 19th March. Once again, they gave fantastic performances. Congratulations to our Year 4 Individual entry who won 1st place on the night!
