Colour guard is a dynamic performance activity that combines dance, movement and the use of flags , rifles and sabres as props to music, helping pupils develop confidence, teamwork and performance skills. During the assembly, pupils learned about Miss Emmerman’s own experiences in Colour Guard and how taking part can boost self‑belief, coordination and a sense of belonging. The session aimed to inspire interest and raise awareness of how pupils can get involved in upcoming colour guard opportunities beyond the school day. She shared her travels to various countries competing and representing the UK.

Colour guard is inclusive, energetic and open to pupils of all abilities, making it a wonderful way for children to express themselves creatively while developing important life skills.
